(if its been too long, this is a continuation of posts titled 1 and 2.) If you are even remotely associated with Taiwanese culture, you should know what an oyster pancake is. It is a scramble of egg, vegetable, oysters, and starch, all topped with a chili type sauce. My friend said she knew a place that had the best oyster pancakes, so we headed onwards north along the seashore. We parked in...

Christmas songs have hardly been competent for making it feel like Christmas.  The same 6 Christmas songs have played in the hotel lobby everyday in the midst of the Christmas tree and the Christmas lights, but at the end of the day, its just a big room with a plastic pine tree, lights and jazzy music. Its not Christmas. But, what is Christmas? Is it something magical aura that floats in around...

We drove to a nearby beach where all of the Taiwanese surfers gather to catch some waves. My friend had worked at one of the surf shops over the summer and wanted to show me around the area. This is not to say that I’m not the adventurous, ‘lets go and do it all!!’ type. Actually, lets be honest— I’m usually not....

ps. 103 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;...

I surrender, I die. Lord, have your way. Give me the courage to die.

Perhaps this should be partially accredited to my past involvement with the Sandwich Club, but last night or this morning I dreamt of this long baguette sliced in half. I had already preheated the oven and stuck half of a tomato in it. On one half of the baguette was avocado spread and on the other was tuna. The oven was ready for the slices but I had much difficulty getting the bread inside for...
